About FRUKit
Technology should make life easier. Not harder.
FRUKit exists to help people make sense of technology, solve problems and feel more confident about the tools they use every day.
FRUKit is an established, one-person technology guidance and problem-solving business. It has evolved over more than a decade alongside the technology, businesses and people it helps.
One person. A lot of experience.
FRUKit is run by Stephen, a former teacher with a background in Business Studies and ICT, combined with many years of practical experience in business, management, technology and online enterprise.

Teaching has always been an important part of the way FRUKit works. The aim isn’t simply to fix something and disappear. Where appropriate, we’ll explain what we’re doing, show you how things work and help you become more confident doing it yourself.
We don’t pretend to know everything.
Technology is too big and changes too quickly for anyone to know everything. If we don’t know the answer, we’ll say so and work out what needs to be investigated.

The FRUKit approach

Start with the problem.
You don’t need to arrive with a technical specification or even know what the problem is called. Tell us what is happening, what you’re trying to achieve or what’s getting in the way.
Find the practical solution.
We’ll look at what’s actually needed rather than automatically recommending the biggest, newest or most complicated option.
Explain it in plain English.
Technology should be understandable. We’ll explain things clearly and without unnecessary jargon, so you can make informed decisions.
Leave you more capable.
Whether we do the work for you, work alongside you or teach you how to do it yourself, the aim is to leave you feeling more confident and capable than when you arrived.
What FRUKIT is really about
Technology changes. Businesses change. People change. The right solution today may not be the right solution tomorrow.
FRUKit is designed to evolve with those changes. That means there isn’t a rigid list of services that we’re going to pretend covers everything. If you’ve got a technology problem, an idea, something that’s driving you mad, or simply something you’d like to understand better, tell us what’s going on.

You don’t need to know the answer. That’s where we can start.
